5 Simple Steps to Make a 6-Figure Income

Benefits of working at home

Working at home gives you the chance to escape the 9-5 rat race which offers many benefit besides being able to get up when you feel rested enough. Breakfast isn't rushed. You can have a relaxed breakfast with your family and then do the 6 second commute when and if you feel ready. That is to your home/office. Unlike the 9-5 rat race, you can choose how long you work, what you wear when you work, and the type of work you do. The only downside to this is many home businesses are performance based. That is unless you have automation in place, 2 hours of work per day earns you close to zero. The best thing about internet marketing is that if you do the work once, you get paid many times over, often without having to do regular updates. It's a system it works.

Compared with a brick and mortar business, entry and upkeep costs of an online home-based business are extremely small. With a brick and mortar business you need at least $1 million capitol to pay rent, utility bills, advertising, stock, loan repayments, and many other bills. An internet marketing business can be started for as little as $100 a week provided that you have a computer and internet connection. Other than that you aren't required to pay any extra bills.

As an internet marketer, it's your business, you are the boss. No one is asking you to finish any set tasks within an unreasonable amount of time. No one is telling you to make them coffee. And no one tells you that you only have half an hour for lunch, or that you can't eat lunch until after you've finished your report.

The only problem with your business being performance based is if you don't make a sale you don't get paid. To get that sale, unless you are experienced, you may find yourself working more than 8 hours a day, and making less than you would if you had a job. Cash is actually the lifeblood of a business. A business needs money coming in to run. Using free advertising will often only net you freeloaders looking for freebies. The way around this is to keep your job until your home business becomes profitable and you have systems in place to make a decent income every week.

Have a Plan

Before you quit your job, decide what kind of home business you are going to get into, and how much you need to run your business. There are many home business types. These include network marketing, affiliate marketing, traditional home businesses, and internet marketing. Don't be led by the pictures of money and luxury houses. It's all marketing and many of the businesses that feature these images are scams. They may have rented these props for the day.

You need to find an offer that you can afford and that will offer you a return on your money. I am not a fan of network marketing as to me it seems like a ponzi scheme. You pay $10 every month and you may get nothing back or a little more than you invested depending how many people you have recruited. But what you are selling is the opportunity to own one of the luxury items and that's decades of monthly $10 payments away.

I think internet marketing and affiliate marketing are good as if you are dealing with paying customers you are more than likely to get a sale. That is you don't always need to use paid advertising but using and supporting free advertising where free members meet to earn free credits is not the answer. Social media is neutral ground. Both freebie seekers and paying customers use social media communities and if your offer seems reasonable it may sell.

Advertise

As I said paid advertising is the best method of advertising. Facebook ads are cheaper than Google Adwords ads and you can target a particular audience with laser precision. Facebook has a lot of data about their users, as many Facebook users do personal updates several times a day as a matter of personal status. For only $5 you can boost a post and get a reasonable amount of clicks or clicks from your Facebook ad.

Follow through

You're not going to become rich overnight. Everything has a learning curve. As with your planning you need to make sure you have enough money to advertise and market your business so you don't get stuck in a rut. And you need to keep advertising, keep, keeping on until you crack the formula until you get a sale otherwise you home business dream will be no more and it will be back to the rat race.

Be up-to-date

You need to stay up to date with the home business/internet marketing news and be informed of what new software is available. How you can automate your business more, so Artificial Intelligence can do more of the work for you, so you can build a business empire, and become an affluent business person.

Being up to date can be as simple as creating a Google Alert, and when Google detects an article being posted about "new internet marketing software", Google will send you an email and a link to the article.

Have the right attitude

A positive attitude is important to achieve your financial and personal goals. If you are going to succeed with your home business, as I said before you need to forge ahead and strive to build your income and your business empire to the point where sales and income is a regular occurrence. Many books have been published on the topic of motivation. One that I recommend is "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. "Think and Grow Rich" is no longer protected by copyright, so you should be able to search for it on the internet and download it for free.

There is no guarantee you will earn a 6 figure income by following these steps. There is a lot of fake/bad advice been sold as home business training by people that have no principles and just want to make a dollar by tricking you into purchasing their products. The products that I promote are good products but results can vary depending on your type of advertising.

Affiliate Marketing Via YouTube

YouTube is the web's second biggest search engine and many people that discover a video search result are likely to go to that result first, especially if they are interested in buying a product. It makes sense if you want to buy a product you want to see how it works and the different features working together. And what better place to see a product demonstration in the comfort of your own home. If you like the product, you can do three things; one, read any extra information that the channel has provided or two, look for the cheapest deal on the internet or check your favourite offline stores for the best price.

If you decide to watch the YouTube video and click on the link to the product in the YouTube video description, you have just participated in an affiliate marketing transaction via youtube. The YouTuber may have been paid for creating the product review video and they may also be permitted to be an affiliate of the product they are promoting.

In some cases the YouTuber may not have been paid for creating and posting the product review video and may have created the video hoping that viewers will watch the video, like the product, read the product description, and buy through their affiliate link. You can usually spot when a YouTuber has been paid to create a product review video. The signs are; they are doing an unboxing of a product before the product has been released to the public, or there is sufficient product brand names featured in the video. Many of these videos are professionally produced and have the correct lighting, video software and the sound is clear. They have not used screen capture software that features secondhand footage of the product and a small video of themselves in the corner.

Not only do you need to have the right video filming set up but an audience is important as well. A product review video is similar to a sponsored post on another social media platform. If you are posting a sponsored post on Twitter or Instagram many sponsored post companies won't even consider your application without an audience of 10K - 20K genuine subscribers. It would be a waste of time and money if the product review is not being aired to a ready made audience.

There are many affiliate networks that accept applications from many would-be affiliates and you can choose a product from their catalogue and apply to promote it. You may not get paid for creating a product review video but if you manage to direct a significant number of buyer from your affiliate link to the merchants site and they buy the product, then you have the possibility of receiving a commission for any purchases.

Start with one product review video and build a channel and an audience and you will soon be set up to securing the gig for doing paid product reviews. No one starts at the top everyone has to work their way up to the top. Gradually you can earn more as you develop your skills. But start with the affiliate network's products, build an audience, earn some commissions, and then when your channel is established it is likely that you will receive an invitation to do a paid product review.

Affiliate marketing via YouTube takes work, time and effort but as you build on these you will be paid more as you progress.
